Earlier this year we read that the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California purchased some Delta islands. Why would a major water district (that is also a water exporter) buy land in the Delta?
Of course the news caused concerns and speculation as to what is going on. This meeting will strive to put the news into perspective.
Our guest will be Mr. Randy Record, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Metropolitan Water District. Mr. Record is wine vineyard owner and a long-time member of water boards and will present the viewpoint of his agency. He is also a past-president of ACWA.
