Event Description
In 2019 the East Bay Municipal Utility District completed a comprehensive update of its Recycled Water Master Plan. The update presented an opportunity to review the successes and challenges of the recycled water program to date, evaluate its recycled water goals, and consider both potable and non-potable reuse opportunities for the future. In this presentation EBMUD will talk about what has been achieved with their recycled water program, and where they expect to be in the future. This Water Task Force meeting will discuss the factors that were taken into consideration when evaluating potable and non-potable reuse, and how those factors will impact future recycled water investments.

Featured Speaker
Paul Gilbert-Snyder is an Associate Civil Engineer with the East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD) in Oakland, California.  Paul served as project manager for development of EBMUD’s recently updated Recycled Water Master Plan.  Prior to joining EBMUD in 2003, he spent 10 years with the State of California’s Division of Drinking Water. Paul holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Delaware and a master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Houston.
